Animal Shelter Raises $25,000

Animal-lovers helped raise more than $25,000 to support the Southampton Animal Shelter at the nonprofit's first fundraising benefit held in late September.

More than 700 people attended the event, held at the Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays. Proceeds will go toward the animal shelter's on-going programs to promote adoption and provide care to companion animals. 

There were raffle prizes, an auction, entertainment provided by Vivian and the Merry Makers steel band, and an abundance of food.
