Community Joins Hearts To Help Beloved Friend In Cancer Journey

Linni Diehl is facing escalating costs for medical treatment as she battles cancer.

QUOGUE, NY — The many who love Linni Diehl are coming together to carry her through her most challenging hour.

Diehl, according to a GoFundMe page created by Alicia Long, "Show Your Love For Linni Diehl" — the page has raised $4,013 of its $50,000 goal so far — was diagnosed with lung cancer last year.

"Always one to be active, Linni has devoted her life to dancing, dance therapy, and to raising her beautiful daughter Jesse. So it came as a shock when Linni was sidelined by cancer," she wrote.

Diehl has long been a devoted and active member of the Westhampton Presbyterian Church, reaching out to help on mission projects in the community and worldwide.

"Linni has spent the last number of months battling this terrible disease with the help of her medical team of doctors and nurses and with the support of her friends, family, and loved ones," Long said.

But the journey has been long and, as a result, medical expenses are escalating, and help is needed to pay "the portion of those expenses that have not been covered and those expenses that she will likely continue to accrue as she continues her battle against cancer and prepares for end of life care," she said.
