Cops: Man Busted for Drunk Driving in Flanders
The driver almost hit a number of parked cars, police said.
A Riverhead man was busted for driving drunk in Flanders on Sunday, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, Fredy Lopez, 24, was arrested at 9:24 a.m. on Silverbrook Drive after driving erratically and nearly colliding with numerous parked vehicles.
Further investigation revealed Lopez was intoxicated, police said; he was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and possession of an open container, a violation.
He was processed at Southampton Town police headquarters and held overnight for arraignment.
