Drunk Driver Nabbed In Hampton Bays: Cops

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Sag Harbor resident was caught driving drunk in Hampton Bays, police said.

According to New York State Police, on Jan. 4. at 10:35 p.m. Nery E. Sanchez-Meza, 31, was driving east on Sunrise Highway and stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation.

Upon further investigation, Sanchez-Meza was found to be intoxicated with a BAC of .16%, twice the legal limit, police said.

Sanchez-Meza was arrested, charged with driving while intoxicated, and is due back in Southampton Justice Court on Jan. 14, police said.
