Suffolk County is conducting influenza immunization clinics for adults who are 18 years of age and over. Thirty-six clinics are planned from October through November.
Immunizations will be available on Thursday, November 4 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Southampton Cultural Center at Veteran's Hall Pond Lane in Southampton. For more information, call 728-1235.
No fee will be collected from those participants with Medicare Part B non-managed care (no Medicare Advantage plans) for the influenza and pneumococcal vaccinations, as Medicare will be billed for the service. A list of insurances accepted by the Suffolk County Department of Health Services (SCDHS) can be accessed on the SCDHS website www.suffolkcountyny.gov/health. All others will be charged $37 for the influenza vaccination and $25 for the pneumococcal vaccination. The fee is payable by check or money order; cash will not be accepted. The fee for the new high-dose influenza vaccine will be $55. The aforementioned entities may be billed as stated for this service.

The Division of Public Health is operating an "Influenza Hotline." For general information about the clinics residents may call 631-787-2200 weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
