A dedication ceremony for the "Edwin M. "Buzz" Schwenk Dwarf Pine Plains Trail" will be held in the preservation area of the Central Pine Barrens because Schwenk, who died in 2009, was a big part of the passage of the Long Island Pine Barrens Protection Act and the Peconic Bay Region Community Preservation Fund.
Peter Scully, the regional director of New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr., and Senator Kenneth P. LaValle will be among those in attendance.
