Get ready for the warm boating season ahead by taking a New York State certified safe boating course at the Hampton Bays Senior Center. The course meets the mandatory education requirements for personal watercraft operators and young boat operators. Children have to be at least 10 years old. The course is free for those 10 to 17 years old, $10 for those 18 and older. Make check payable to the Bay Constables. Studetns must attend all sessions and receive a 75 percent or better on the final test.
