R.M.S. TITANIC AND COBH (QUEENSTOWN), IRELAND The presentation will explore Cobh and Cork Harbour and how the great ship came to be there. Topics explored will include early exploratory voyages, the impact of Jamestown on Cork harbour maritime traffic, emigration, famine and the development of the port as a transatlantic hub and the arrival of Titanic there on 11th April 1912.
