Fishermen Needed To Help Rescued Osprey

HAMPTON BAYS — A rescued osprey needs help — and fishermen are being called to come to the rescue.

According to the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center in Hampton Bays, the facility has a juvenile osprey in its care; the osprey sustained a wing injury.

"We are in need of bass and porgies for our patient," staffers said.

Donations can be dropped off at the center, located at 228 W. Montauk Highway in Hampton from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those with donations can also call 631-728-4200.
