Hampton Bays Kids Create Sweet Valentines to Share
The exercise helped students with writing skills, teachers said.

Memories of elementary school Valentine’s Day cards, tucked hopefully into boxes decorated with construction paper and doilies, are remembered fondly by almost everyone who’s ever had a childhood crush.
And Valentine’s Day cards made for moms and dads, sprinkled with glitter and love, are kept forever as treasured keepsakes.
This year, Hampton Bays Elementary School first-graders carried on the time-honored tradition of creating Valentine’s Day cards for family members.

The kids created the cards on Thursday; the project honed in on the students’ writing and fine motor skills, teachers said.
