Hampton Bays Students Learn Character From Islanders

The Islanders visited Hampton Bays Elementary School last week.

Hampton Bays Elementary School students received a lesson on character from representatives of the New York Islanders during a special assembly last week.

Following the monthly citizens of the month ceremony, Islanders arena hostess Dina, ice girl Danielle and Islanders mascot Sparky came out on stage to greet students.

During the assembly, Dina and Danielle spoke to the students about the importance of eating healthy and staying active before conducting an exercise on teamwork.

Student volunteers had to work as a team to dress a classmate in goaltender gear.
