The Hampton Library to Host 'Fridays at Five' Event

This week's series will feature Brooke Shields and Broadway Director/Choreographer Kathleen Marshall.

The Hampton Library will be continuing their ‘Fridays at Five’ series this Friday, August 21.

This week’s event will present Brooke Shields in conversation with Broadway Director/Choreographer Kathleen Marshall.

The event will take place at the library located at 2478 Main Street in Bridgehampton. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with the event taking place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets are $20 each.

All of the money collected including the price of admission and the sale of the books goes directly to The Hampton Library in Bridgehampton.

The library launched this year’s season last month. The series has been a tradition for the library and the Hamptons for over 30 years.

In case of rain, the event will take place in the meeting hall of the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church at 2350 Montauk Highway.

Shields is the author of There Was a Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me.

She is an award-winning actress and a Princeton graduate with honors in French Literature.

She began modeling and acting during childhood and went on to star in film, on television, and on Broadway.

She wrote the New York Times bestseller Down Came the Rain, and has also written two children’s books.

Marshall, who has won three Tony Awards, directed Ms Shields in the Broadway production of Wonderful Town.
