Man Charged With DWI Had BAC 2X Legal Limit: Police

He was pulled over for a traffic violation, police say.

RIVERSIDE, NY — A Riverhead man was arrested Monday after he was found driving while intoxicated, police said.

According to New York State Police, Reginald Coleman, 31, was arrested at 10:31 p.m. on Flanders Rd. in Riverside after he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation and found to be intoxicated with a BAC of .16% — twice the legal limit of .08%, police said.

Coleman was arrested, charged with driving while intoxicated, and released on an appearance ticket; he is due back at Southampton Justice Court on Jan. 14, police said.
