PHOTOS: East Quogue Beautification Committee Readies Village For Summer
The East Quogue Beautification Committee hung flowers on Tuesday.
The rain didn't stop the East Quogue Beautification Committee from decorating Main Street in a sea of flowers on Tuesday afternoon.
The 10-year-old non-profit group, which is headed up by Bob Kandell, president, hung the baskets, which were purchased at Helen’s Greenhouse, Aquebogue, on the street poles that line Main Street.
The flower project, which is paid for through various fund-raising events, is just one of the many activities that the committee undertakes.

The committee also hosts a garden tour, which will take place this year on Saturday, July 21; a yearly raffle that features prizes from downtown businesses; the maintenance of the East Quogue Post office garden and bulletin board; and a holiday tree lighting on the .
