Scouts, Volunteers Join Councilwoman for Great East End Cleanup
The event took place Saturday in Westhampton Dunes.
WESTHAMPTON-HAMPTON BAYS - In an effort to keep the East End beautiful, local Scouts, volunteers and Southampton Town Councilwoman Christine Scalera rolled up their sleeves and go to work.
On Saturday, Scalera joined the Moriches Bay Project, a local Brownie Troop and other volunteers in cleaning up the beaches and roadways in the Westhampton Dunes as part of this year’s Great East End Clean Up.
More than 550 residents, community and church groups participated this year cleaning public areas of the town spanning from the most eastern point to the western end.
