Search On for Culprit Who Blew Up A Mailbox: Police

BREAKING: Fireworks were used to blow up the mailbox, police said.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — Police are on the lookout for whoever blew up a mailbox at a Hampton Bays home recently.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person or people who blew up the mailbox on Romana Drive, which was damaged with Turning Head fireworks on Saturday, police said.

The culprit is facing an arson charge, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
