Search On For Man Who Stole from 2 Westhampton Beach Businesses: Police
BREAKING: The thief used a crowbar to break into the Montauk Highway establishments, police said.
WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — Police are searching for a man who burglarized two Westhampton Beach businesses last month, authorities said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from Westhampton Beach Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man, who broke into two businesses on Montauk Highway in Westhampton Beach using a crow bar and stealing cash on July 12 at 12:45 a.m, police said.
The man also attempted to enter a third business, police said.

He then fled in a vehicle described as a white, four-door sedan, police said.
The thief is described as black, 5'9" to 5'11" tall and heavyset, and was wearing a lacrosse hat believed to be related to the Iroquois Indian confederacy, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
