Speaker Motivates Westhampton Beach Middle School Students With Basketball

Using basketball tricks to get their attention, motivational speaker Dan Occhiogrosso spoke to Westhampton Beach Middle School students during an assembly on Thursday, Oct. 23.

Occhiogrosso, who was brought in to speak with help from the non-profit HUGS organization, had a strong message for students: Create a change in your life to live for something bigger.

During his hour-long presentation, Occhiogrosso shared his life experiences with basketball in an effort to motivate students. He also spoke to them about being leaders and about teamwork. In addition, he sent a message about anti-bullying and anti-drugs.
