Summer fishing at the old bridge....
New additions to the old bridge fishing area to add joy to the summer 2015 fishing experience for young and old.....
Well ....back in Hampton bays to enjoy a great summer , and something new has been added to the old ponquoque bridge for our avid fishing experience ......
The park maintenance department has decided to not allow old time fishing people and their youngsters the privelige to fish that area any longer.....instead of repairing the bridge approach and fishing bridge area, they decided in their infinite wisdom to place a gate across the whole approach.......
Since most fishing in that area is done in summer, that makes the most sense.....duh.....

Repairing it in the fall of 2014 would have been an inconvenience I’m sure, so “ we’ll just close it off for the summer, no one will notice” ...double DUH
Is it just me, or am I just not understanding what keeping up and maintaining parks and recreation is about......

I WANT TO RECREATE.....but smarter minds than mine are saying different....
Let’s see how much repair work gets done over this summer.....anyone want to make a bet.......???
Too embarrassed to send a photo , because I would rather have other people who care go down to Warner park , and see the new and improved OLD PONQUOQUE BRIDGE.........
