Town of Southampton Introduces 'Solarize Southampton' Initiative

The campaign is meant to increase the number of solar electric systems for residential and commercial customers.

The Town of Southampton recently introduced ’Solarize Southampton,’ a community organized solar effort led by the Department of Municipal Works.

The goal of the campaign is to increase the number of solar electric systems for both residential and commercial electric customers within the Town of Southampton by working closely with the Town’s Sustainability Committee.

The campaign is part of the Community Solar New York program and is supported by a grant from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) which will provide technical assistance, marketing materials and funding.
