Tarantulas, Owls, and Bearded Dragons, Oh, My: Students Team Up with Quogue Wildlife
The kids made new friends in a day of adventure and learning last week.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY- Kids took a walk on the wild side last week when they met some exciting new friends in Hampton Bays last week.
Hampton Bays elementary school students were paid an in-school visit from the Quogue Wildlife Refuge on February 11.
During the event, Brendan Dickson, an environmental educator with the Quogue Wildlife Refuge Center, introduced students to several animal species including a corn snake, tarantula, owl and bearded dragon.

Aside from having the opportunity to pet the various animals, students learned about the animals’ habitats, lifecycles and prey.
