Westhampton Beach Elementary Students Arrive for First Day

Less than an hour after arriving to Westhampton Beach Elementary for the first day of school on Wednesday, returning students were at their desks, getting acquainted with their new teachers and routines.

Kindergartners were adjusting to their new school as well, as their teachers took them on tours and talked to them about everything they will learn and do during their first year in school.

“We are having a fantastic first day,” said Principal Lisa Slover, who added that there were no tears this year from the youngest of students. “We are all excited to start the new school year.”
