Westhampton Beach High School Announces Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Congratulations to Arianna Riemma-Cascone and Harshil Mehta.

Westhampton Beach High School has announced that Arianna Riemma-Cascone and Harshil Mehta have been chosen as the Class of 2015 valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

Riemma-Cascone and Mehta have earned the top spots in their class through their impressive and outstanding commitment to academics.

Valedictorian Riemma-Cascone has had a number of academic accomplishments throughout her high school career.

She is an AP Scholar of Distinction, a member of the Key Club and has been involved in the peer-tutoring program, where she tutored fellow students in chemistry, biology and math.

Additionally, she is also an athlete, playing varsity soccer for the past seven years, serving as captain in her junior and senior years.

She also plays the sport on area travel teams and has been a volunteer junior trainer for the Hamptons United Soccer Club Youth teams for the past five years.

Aside from volunteering to coach soccer, she is a volunteer religious education teacher at the Immaculate Conception Church and volunteers for Maureen’s Haven.

She intends to study neuroscience at Vassar College in the fall.

Salutatorian Mehta also has a number of academic accomplishments.

He is an AP Scholar with Distinction, an outstanding science senior, a member of the Quiz Bowl and National Honor, Math, Science and Foreign Language societies.

Outside of school, Mehta is a head counselor at the Hindu Heritage Summer Camp in Rochester, NY. He plans to attend New York University in the fall to study politics.
