Seniors at Westhampton Beach High School took another step toward their futures by participating in the school’s annual Senior Skills Breakfast at the Westhampton Country Club on Friday, Oct. 24.

During the breakfast, 70 students, dressed in business attire, met with professionals in the fields they hope to pursue. The professionals mentored the students regarding the paths they need to take to pursue their dreams, including college majors, internships and licenses.

More than 15 fields were represented at the breakfast, including finance, fashion, medial, music, psychology, journalism, engineering, education, government and social work. The event was also an opportunity for students to practice mock interviewing, sharpen public speaking skill and exercise proper etiquette.

This is the 11th year the school district’s Business Advisory Committee has sponsored the breakfast, which has proven to be a great opportunity for students to gain first-hand knowledge about the careers they plan to pursue.
