Westhampton Beach Student Gives Keynote Speech at ASSET Conference

The conference took place earlier this month.

Westhampton Beach High School freshman Sydney Sheren captivated an audience of more than 800 teachers and administrators on Monday, March 9 as she gave a keynote speech at the Suffolk County 2015 ASSET Conference.

Sheren, the youngest of three student keynote speakers, spoke about how her school district has helped her gain skills in film.

She also participated in a question and answer period.

Sheren earned the honor of speaking after submitting a video to the ASSET board describing technology in her life.

She currently serves as the Freshman Class President, and previously created the Westhampton Beach Middle School’s newspaper and attended the New York Film Academy.
