Westhampton Beach Students Practicing For Fall Theater Production

Thespians at Westhampton Beach High School have started to practice for their fall theater production, “The 39 Steps”.
The play, which was written by Patrick Barlow and has earned two Tony Awards, will be performed Nov. 7 to Nov. 9 at Westhampton Beach High School.

The production was chosen because it is simply a very funny show, full of nonstop laughs, Director Rosemary Cline said.
“It is a spoof of an Alfred Hitchcock story of the same name,” Cline added.

During the whodunit performance, characters get mixed up with a mysterious organization called, “The 39 Steps” after one of the characters, a woman with a thick accent who says she is a spy, is murdered.
Show times on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
