Westhampton Beach Teacher Receives 'Bright Light' Award
The awards were given out at a ceremony earlier this month.

Lorraine Porcelli, a kindergarten teacher at Westhampton Beach Elementary School, was recognized as a “Bright Light” by Suffolk ASSET at a luncheon earlier this month at the Timber Point Country Club in Great River.
The “Bright Light” award acknowledges teachers who enhance classroom learning through the use of technology.

Porcelli was honored along with 13 other teachers from across Long Island during a ceremony on Jan. 14.
Suffolk Asset is membership association, which encourages the integration of technology into the K-12 curriculum.
