In the news today, the Westhampton Beach girls varsity lacrosse team made history this week when they took home the Long Island championship for the first time in history. And while their journey ended in the state semi-finals Friday, we couldn't be more proud of their incredible achievements.

According to Southampton Town police, at 1:49 p.m., a call came in regarding a dispute and a male possibly armed with a weapon at the Tuckahoe School. Officers responded within minutes and searched the involved individuals; no weapon was found, police said. - Westhampton Beach Girls Varsity LAX Team Competes At States: The girls made their hometowns proud and while they were defeated in the game, they made history.
