Happy Thursday, Westhampton-Hampton Bays neighbors and friends!

This weekend marks the return of the annual Westhampton Beach St. Patrick's Day parade, an event that holds deep connection to the many who've lined up for years on Main Street to cheer on the marchers. As a Cub Scout leader, I marched with my den for years in that parade, and later, cheered on my son when he was a student at Westhampton Beach High School. Every year, we looked forward to the Coneheads and to seeing beloved family and friends, sometimes catching up with people we hadn't seen for months, sharing memories and meals.

The parade, back for the first time after a two-year pandemic pause and then rescheduled due to weather concerns, is a harbinger of hope and a symbol that normalcy is returning to our lives. I couldn't be happier to be taking a huge gallery of photos Saturday; please make sure to come say hello and have your photo taken.

Until tomorrow. . ..
