New York State Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio will join Red Cross workers who will be traveling to Long Island to install the smoke alarms; she will present them with a proclamation Friday at 9 a.m. at the Riverhead Fire Department, located at 540 Roanoke Avenue. The Red Cross will also be providing residents with information about fire safety, including what to do if a fire starts in a home, the common causes of house fires, and how to create an escape plan.
