What's Open, Closed in Westhampton-Hampton Bays New Year's 2015

Many government offices in Westhampton-Hampton Bays will be closed, or have limited services, for New Year’s Day, Jan. 1:

• Town Offices – closed
• County Offices – closed.
• Libraries – closed January 1.
• Liquor stores – hours may differ
• Refuse/recycling pickup – no collection; collection for Friday provided one day later for remainder of week (last collection day is Saturday).
• Transfer Station – closed on Jan. 1; Transfer’s Station’s public drop-off area will close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 31.
• MTA – trains will be running on a holiday schedule; check out the list of extra trains here.
• Parking at public garages, lots, curbside meters – free.
• Schools – closed through Jan. 1.
• State offices and courts – closed.
