Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: At his Court of Honor Saturday, Romagnoli was lauded for his Eagle Scout project in which he constructed a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Mask Confidence Course for the Hampton Bays Fire Department. The course allows firefighters to simulate real life situations.
“Firefighting is in my blood, and I wanted to do my part for the fire service,” said Romagnoli.

Romagnoli, an ocean lifeguard in Southampton Town and a Hampton Bays Fire Explorer, follows a family path forged by his father Michael, a current captain at HBFD, his uncle, and grandfather.
“I dedicated the project to my grandfather, Anthony James Romagnoli,” he said.
Now an Eagle Scout, Anthony said he will serve as a role model.
“It will be an honor to give back to the community and troop that gave so much to me,” he said.
Romagnoli said his most memorable scouting memories include backpacking in the Adirondacks and friendships made.
“Scouting has opened up a new world to me,” he said.
