2 Shot, 1 Fatally, Outside Brentwood Home

The shooting occurred Saturday night.

A 24-year-old man was killed and another man was injured in a shooting in Brentwood Saturday night, police said.

According to police, Third Precinct officers responded to 165 Gibson Avenue after a 911 caller reported shots fired at around 10:50 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that two men had been shot outside the location, police said.

Kenneth Evans, of Brentwood, was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Another Brentwood man in his 20s was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call Homicide Squad detectives at 631-852-6394 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
