Festival Choral Evensong for the Feast of All Saints to be sung at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Bay Shore, NY

On Sunday, November 2 at 4 PM, the Parish Choir under the direction of Mark Engelhardt, Organist and Choirmaster will sing the Office of Festival Choral Evensong at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Bay Shore, NY. Music for the service will include “O Quam Gloriosum” by Victoria; REsponses by Bernard Rose, the Magnificat And Nunc Dimittis in G Major by Stanford, and the anthem ”Give us the Wings of faith” by Ernest Bullock. A wine and cheese reception will follow the service. The Office of Choral Evensong is one of the highlights of liturgy in the Episcopal (Anglican) Church. It is sung daily in most Cathedrals and Collegiate Chapels in England and in many parish churches there and around the world. Sung prayer, major composers for centuries have written music to be sung during the office. All are invited. Free Will offering.
