ICYMI: Street Renaming Ceremony Honors West Babylon Hero

In case you missed it, here's a story that appeared last week in West Islip Patch:

WEST BABYLON, NY - Town of Babylon recently hosted a renaming ceremony in West Babylon to honor a local fallen hero.

The ceremony was in remembrance of US Army PFC Salvatore Joseph Armato, who was killed during a battle in Quand Ngal Province in Vietnam in 1970 at only 20 years old.

To honor him, Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilman Terence McSweeney renamed part of Manhattan Avenue between Little East Neck Road and Hampton Road on Armato's behalf.
