Inside Edition to Film Free Sexual Assault Safety Seminar at West Islip High Friday

Seminar Friday morning is open to the public.

A free sexual assault safety seminar for young women will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. in the West Islip High School girl’s gym.

It is geared for high school and college-age women who have to navigate the sometimes dangerous world of being on their own in college. The presentation will be given by Steve Kardian, one of the nation’s go-to experts on issues of women’s safety. Steve is a career law enforcement officer, certified New York State/FBI defensive tactics instructor and teaches martial arts.

The seminar will be videotaped for an upcoming report on the TV news program, Inside Edition, and they are inviting any young women in the community who would like to attend.
