Man Killed In West Babylon House Fire
The 39-year-old died in the fire that broke out on Sunday morning.

WEST BABYLON, NY - A man was killed in a West Babylon house fire on Sunday morning, according to Suffolk Police.
Officers responded to a 911 call of a fire at a 15th Street home at about 5:50 a.m.
Four residents, two men, one woman and her 8-year-old son, were in the home at the time of the fire.

James Vella, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other man was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries and smoke inhalation.

A First Precinct police officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The woman and her son were not injured.
Following a preliminary investigation, detectives believe the fire to be non-criminal in nature.
