Police: Pregnant Woman, Unborn Baby Killed in Bay Shore Shooting
Milagro G. Canjura was found shot multiple times inside her car outside a Bay Shore home Saturday night, police say.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a shooting in Bay Shore that killed a pregnant 31-year-old woman and her unborn child Saturday night.
According to police, Third Precinct officers responded to 1737 Stein Drive after a 911 caller reported hearing shots fired and finding a woman unresponsive inside her car at about 8:40 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found Milagro G. Canjura, who lived at that address, inside a 2011 Toyota Camry. She had been shot multiple times, police said.
Canjura was rushed via Brentwood Legion Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where she and her unborn baby were pronounced dead. Police did not say how many months pregnant Canjura was.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
