St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School Girls Athletic Director Lorraine Bouklas honored as Catholic School Athletic Administrator of the Year
WEST ISLIP, NY – St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School is proud to announce that Mrs. Lorraine Bouklas, Girls Athletic Director, has been selected by The New York State Athletic Administrators Association as the C.H.S.A.A. Chapter’s Athletic Administrator of the year for 2015.

This annual award is given to an athletic administrator who has shown evidence of devotion and idealism to athletes through the NYSAAA and has demonstrated their influence and power in the promotion of athletics in a positive manner.
The New York State Athletic Administrators’ Association was formed in 1981 under its parent affiliate organization, the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators’ Association. It is dedicated to promoting the professional growth and image of interscholastic athletic administrators throughout New York State. It is also dedicated to preserving the educational nature of interscholastic athletics and the place these programs have in the curricula of every school in New York State.
St. John the Baptist Principal Nan Doherty stated “Lorraine Bouklas has always been a tremendous advocate for athletics and our student-athletes both at St. John the Baptist and throughout our league. Her energy, organization and passion have been constants during her time here as teacher, coach and Athletic Director. She is an incredible gift to our program and league and a terrific person!”
Mrs. Bouklas will be presented with the award at the Roy O’Neill Conference Awards Banquet that will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2014, at The Saratoga Hilton in Saratoga Springs, New York at 7:00pm.
