Each week, the plays host to numerous activities and unique events for its residents. Whether it's for a child, tween, teen, adult or senior, there's always something for everyone.

Monday, November 29

Tots Night out (6:15-7:15 p.m. or 7:30-8:30 p.m.) - Music & fun with Donna Greene. Ages: 18 months – Pre-K. Limit: 25 per session.
Parent & Child Workshop ( 10:30-11:15 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.) - Join this four-week play group, which includes special resource guests. Limit: 20 per session. Age: 18-35 mos. *Note: No older siblings and refrain from bringing sippie cups or snacks to the program.

Tuesday, November 30
Country Comfort Harvest & Holiday (7-9 p.m.) - Monica Musetti-Carlin and Mary Elizabeth Roarke, co-authors of Country Comfort Harvest and Country Comfort Holiday cookbooks, will present a cooking demonstration that you can use to show off in front of your holiday guests.
Desktop Publishing (6-8 p.m.) - In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to use Microsoft Word to create your own greeting cards, letterhead paper, transfer designs, newsletters, notepaper and more. Grades: 4-6.
'Make-Your-Own' Storytime DVD (Appointment times between 1-5 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m.) - Book your appointment beginning Nov. 3. A blank DVD will be provided for each person who registers.
Wednesday, December 1
Blood Pressure Screening (2-3 p.m.): This community service is brought to you through the auspices of Suffolk County Treasurer Angie Carpenter's office and the Consolation Residence nursing staff.
Holiday Cards (7-9 p.m.) - Felicia Ruperto returns to the library to help you make your very own beautiful holiday cards.
Thursday, December 2
Holiday Greens Workshop (7-9 p.m.) - Phyllis Chan-Carr, a master gardener, will demonstrate how to make a boxwood wreath for the holidays. All materials will be provided ($5 fee). Each participant must supply garden clippers.
Friday, December 3
Senior fitness classes (11 a.m.-noon): This is a series of gentle exercises with Vicki Luckman geared toward increasing range of motion and flexibility. Bring 1-3 lb. hand weights, a water bottle, and a face towel. Fee: $15. Limit: 40.
