West Islip Students Start New School Year [PHOTOS]

WEST ISLIP - Students across the West Islip School District arrived at their schools last week for a welcoming new year.

It was a memorable first day for all, from the high school to Beach Street and Udall Road middle schools, to the four elementary schools: Bayview, Manetuck, Oquenock and Paul J. Bellew.

“We are off to a great start at PJB and there is a lot of excitement in the air,” Bellew Principal Rhonda Pratt said.

The students were all ready to begin the new year on the first day of classes on Sept. 5.

“Our students and staff returned for the 2017-2018 school year energized and refreshed for the learning experiences ahead,” Manetuck Principal Dawn Morrison said.
