Woman Struck, Killed in Hit-and-Run in Wyandanch
Crash occurred Monday evening, police say.

Police are seeking a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a pedestrian in Wyandanch Monday evening.
According to police, 48-year-old Raina Campbell, of Wyandanch, was walking west on East Booker Avenue when she was stuck by a westbound vehicle that then fled the scene at 6:56 p.m.
Campbell was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The vehicle, which may have front end damage, fled toward Straight Path, police said.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash or has any information about the incident to contact the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
