Astorino Vetoes Lawmakers' Version Of 2018 Budget

Legislators said they have the votes to override.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Outgoing Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino vetoed a revised version of the 2018 budget that raised property taxes by 2 percent. Legislators said they have enough votes to override the veto.

Lawmakers took out $30 million in revenue that might have come from the leasing of the Westchester County Airport, lohud.com said.

The lease won’t be finalized until after County Executive-elect George Latimer takes office.
