Bronx River Parkway Closed Sunday, Oct. 12, for Running Event

Both sides of the scenic parkway will be closed from exit 22 in White Plains to the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers.

The Bronx River Parkway will be closed from White Plains to Yonkers Sunday for 10th Annual Westchester Medical Center Running Festival, county officials announced.

Both sides of the scenic parkway will be closed from exit 22 in White Plains to the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Motorists are advised that all lanes of both the northbound and southbound Bronx River Parkway from the Westchester County Center (Exit 22) in White Plains to the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers will be closed to traffic on Sunday, October 12 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. due to the 10th Annual Westchester Medical Center Running Festival.

Motorists must use alternate routes during the event, such as, the Sprain Brook Parkway, Central Park Avenue or Route 22.

Electronic message signs will be used to alert motorists.
