City Of White Plains Announces Fire Fighter Exam

The City of White Plains is actively seeking a diverse pool of candidates for the May 1, 2021 Fire Fighter Civil Service Exam. The exam is open to Westchester County residents; however White Plains residents will be given preference in appointment. The salary range is $53,178 – 103,909 (subject to change).

Interested applicants must submit an application by no later than Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 5:00 PM. A printable version of the application is available on the City’s website: www.cityofwhiteplains.com. Applications may also be obtained at:

Free training will be offered for both the written and physical agility portions of the exam. The date and location of the training will be sent to all approved applicants.
