Join The Trove's book discussion group for 5th & 6th graders. Read something fun, new and challenging and talk about it with other kids over pizza at Uno Chicago Grill. We will be reading the Newbery Honor title, "Feathers" by Jacqueline Woodson. Frannie is in sixth grade and her class is reading a poem about hope. She hasn't thought about hope much before, and she has a lot of other things on her mind - there are issues at home, her best friend is becoming more "holy" every day, there's a new boy in class, and an an angry school bully to deal with. Through the winter, surprising things happen, and Frannie starts to see things in a new way. Additional Information: Pre-registration is required and will begin Monday, December 5, 2011. Register in person in The Trove. When you register, you will receive a free copy of "Feathers."
