Judge Throws Out Lawsuit Against French-American School
The judge said the city had conducted its review properly.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A lawsuit by a local community group filed against the French-American School of New York has been thrown out by a state judge. Supreme Court Justice Joan Lefkowitz said the Gedney Association failed to prove two counts: that the White Plains Common Council didn’t follow legal procedure approving the FASNY plan to build a new school and that a 1925 covenant on the property prohibits having an educational facility.
The judge said the city had conducted its review properly, including environmental reviews, the Journal News said.
The school, which is currently located in Larchmont, wants to build a new school at the former Ridgeway Country Club site in White Plains.
