Verdict Reached in Love-Triangle Murder Case: UPDATE
The jury was given the case Friday, but started over Monday.

UPDATE—Monday, July 25, 2016, 5:30 p.m.: The Mount Vernon woman who was accused of mowing down and killing a romantic rival with her car was found guilty Monday by a jury.
Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty said Carla Scott, 36, of Mount Vernon was convicted of first-degree manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident which results in death, both felonies.
Police said on April 18, 2015, around 5:27 p.m., Scott was parking at the corner of Warburton and Babcock avenues in Yonkers, when she drove her 2009 Mercedes Benz into Glynis Pinto, the victim who was standing in front of the car.

Pinto landed on the car’s hood, while Scott continued to drive for about 30 years.
Pinto was thrown backward onto the road and both of the right side wheels ran over her.

She suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries that caused her death.
Scott left the scene. She was arrested April 22, 2015.
Yonkers police said an investigation found Scott had a prior dispute with Pinto.
Her sentencing will be September 27, 2016, and she faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in state prison.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A jury is deliberating whether or not a Mount Vernon woman mowed down her lover’s rival with a car.
Carla Scott was charged with second-degree manslaughter in the death of Glynis Pinto of Yonkers in 2015, according to News 12.
Police said Scott drove her car on purpose into Pinto who hung onto the vehicle until she was run over and killed, lohud.com said.
