1. 140K Eggs Coming To Westchester After Price Fixing Settlement, AG's Office Says (patch.com) — Westchester residents are set to benefit as Feeding Westchester in Elmsford receives more than 140,000 eggs from a multi-state price-fixing settlement with major egg producers. The donation, part of millions of eggs coming to New York, will be distributed through Feeding Westchester's network to help local households struggling with food costs, while the settlement also requires the companies to reform their pricing practices.
   

2. New Study Uncovers The Best Hospitals In New York (wrrv.com) — White Plains residents can take pride that White Plains Hospital ranks among the Hudson Valley's top-performing hospitals in U.S. News & World Report's latest statewide study. The article explains how 190 New York hospitals were evaluated and notes that Northern Westchester, Garnet Health–Middletown, and Vassar Brothers also earned high regional marks.
   

3. Guiding Eyes puppies being their journey (midhudsonnews.com) — From White Plains' own Westchester County Airport, a group of Guiding Eyes for the Blind puppies just flew to Florida to meet their volunteer raisers. Over the next year-plus, those families will socialize and train the dogs before they return to campuses in Patterson and Yorktown for formal guide-dog training. The program lets volunteers nationwide help future guide dogs at no cost to recipients.
   

4. Tearing Down Walls (paintmag.com) — A former Marine recounts how disaster relief after Hurricane Andrew inspired her service, which eventually brought her to a demanding recruiting post in White Plains during the post‑9/11 era. After leaving the Corps, she navigated loss, failed businesses, and pandemic upheaval before rebuilding a painting career with help from a veteran scholarship and industry mentors.
