Report: Merger of White Plains Hospital, Montefiore Medical Center Receives State Approval
The merger with White Plains Hospital follows Montefiore's acquisitions of hospitals in Mount Vernon and New Rochelle.
The planned merger of White Plains Hospital Center and Montefiore Medical Center has received the blessing of state officials, according to a report in The Journal News.
Reporter Jane Lerner writes that the state’s Public Health and Health Planning Council approved the deal Thursday, which follows Montefiore’s acquisitions of hospitals in Mount Vernon and New Rochelle.
Earlier this year, White Plains Hospital and Montefiore announced they were planning a partnership.
